If you shoot the details of the vehicles, it is crucial to use RAW format camera setting  to show the details in lights and in shadows. Also setting camera on "Duplicate the Pixel" - when available in your camera - is going to increase even further dynamic range of your image. I use this function in my Canon 5D Mark IV.
